Sun Closed
Looking forward to having some much needed rest and relaxation on my TWO days off....yipeeeee!
Knitwear
I have started to sell new and used knitwear here in the shop so...I am looking for people who have knitted garments they dont want to just give away but would like to re-coup some of the money spent on the garment, yarn and/or time spent knitting.
Bring in your knitwear and we will agree a price for it to be sold at which will incorporate a bit of commission and away we go……
Spinning and weaving
I am no longer selling weaving looms and spinning wheels. I can put you in touch with other suppliers in the area or directly in touch with the UK distributer. I will sell used equipment when I get it though!!
If you have questions relating to wheels and looms I will do my best to answer them for you. Peter will still fix wheels if needed and teach
spinning and weaving through the shop.
A wee cuppa
I now have a wee tea and coffee bitty with an honesty box. So have a cuppa whilst you browse! If you want something more substantial..homemade cakes and lunch...try the Garage at one end of the town or Tiffin at the other!!!!

The Bowen Technique
Kate Blanche has now started practicing the Bowen Technique from twist..
“Bowen technique a healing, often miraculous, life changing hands-on-therapy
which seems to be revolutionizing the healthcare world.”
The Daily Mail
The Bowen Technique arrived in the UK in 1992. It's Now being brought to Newburgh by Kate Blanche, Bowen Pratitioner (E.C.B.S) in association with 'twist'! It is one of the fastest growing treatments in Complementary Therapy today and is beginning to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and the alternative, through Physiotherapists, Asthma Nurses, GP's, and now a group of Neuro- Surgeons in Germany!
The Bowen Technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen's unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue and no force is used. The experience of a treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing. It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy.
