During this one week Felt Making summer school you will be introduced to the late 19th century Arts & Crafts Movement focusing on soft interiors and the fashion of the time.

| Working with a wide range of fibres and using a variety of techniques you will design shapes and patterns inspired by features of the movement such as seed pods, poppies, dragonflies and lilies and incorporate them into wearable pieces and interior furnishings. |

Alongside the daily program evening activities will be on offered in natural dying, spinning and weaving.

Newburgh in Fife, Scotland has a history of weaving and with the establishment of Twist Fibre Craft Studio five years ago it is once more a thriving place for textiles. With many artist studios, a gallery and beautiful river walks, it is a place to create, relax and to be inspired.

Jeanette Sendler is a freelance textile artist.
Originally from Germany she is now based in Newburgh, where she runs a studio of Textile Excellence. Her background is in Theatre Costume Design and she teaches part-time at Edinburgh College of Art.
Recently she has been invited to lecture in Japan, America, England and The Netherlands.

| The fee for this Summer School is £325 per person which includes all materials, lunch each day and all evening activities. An £80 deposit is required to secure you place with the balance of £245 due by 21 June. |
